Thanks for the tip, Evan!

In creating the lists, it tends to be cumbersome to keep copying/recreating
the approved "posters" list.

For example, we have the following departments: Ministers, Elders, Finance,
Office Support Staff, Youth

Using your example, I've created a list for each department with the members
of each department entered as "subscribers". However, each department
should be able to email all the members of the other departments. I suppose
the best way to do this is create a master "posters.lst" and copy it from
directory to directory. What I was wondering was if there is a registry
setting where I can point all the lists to the same "posters.lst".

Thanks, again, for your input!

Ted

You need to create a user to get an LDAP entry. Create it with:
Username: Doesn't matter, but it must be different to the list
email address. Here we just prefix an underscore to the
list name - easy to filter on, and keeps them all in one
                place.
First Name: The name you want to show up in the LDAP directory
Reply To: The email address you want to show up in the directory

Then check the box to disable the account, and create an incoming rule
to delete all mail so that mail doesn't accumulate if you ever use
mailall.exe.

The process is the same whether you want an LDAP entry for a list,
alias, or someone outside your organisation.

Cheers,
Evan
