[IMail Forum] Using LDAP to do SMTP Auth with external gateay

Hello,   I am trying to setup my external gateway appliance to do SMTP Auth.  It has an option to use LDAP, but for some reason, I haven’t been able to get it to work.  I am sending LDAP v3 requests to my Imail server on port 389 but I haven’t been successful yet.  The appliance I am setting up is called Meridius, if anyone has any helpful information, I would appreciate it.  The Query Settings are as follows:   Address: <my imail server ip> Port:  389 Protocol Version: 3   Login required for query: unchecked   Search Base:  dc=mydomain Username Attribute: uid   Server expects encrypted passwords:  unchecked Specify user object class:  checked User object class:  person     My imail setup is as follows:   Version 8.03 using external SQL 7 database on another machine.   Thanks.   Chad
