This is very true. I have wrote a few client/server apps that work flawlessly with w2k - win 3.11(with any nic) and most of my i/o code works on or with w2003. Most is the key word here. I cannot for the life of me understand what, if anything, has changed on w2003 that is causing; for lack of better terms a flapping issue between w2003 and any other common berkeley standard application that I have produced. Even in a lab with less then 10 feet of crossover cable I sometimes get ack problem that is intermittent enough to put further code in to deal with it.
