We have experienced a number of return code 14’s in our SMTP logs. The code means that the AV was unable to scan a file and therefore the file was treated as infected. The strange thing is that we are getting 25 to 30 instances a day. We are running Symantec Corp. Edition 8 on the server and IMAIL AV for the IMAIL server. We are running IMAIL 8.03. I’ve called IMAIL support and they said they are still gathering information on the issue.

 

I know I can’t be the only one experiencing this issue. Any suggestions?
