As far as i know there is only one virus scanner running on this server. I will check and make sure of this. Thanks for the tools this will make testing my possible solutions easier than waiting for a virus.

I'm not very familiar with IMail AntiVirus, but wasn't aware that it would log to both a log file and an event. So my guess here is that you have an on-access virus scanner running on the server -- if you do, you should either turn it off or set it up not to scan the IMail AntiVirus files. Having 2 programs scanning the same files can cause serious problems (such as E-mail where viruses are detected being delivered). That's why we always recommend using our Test Virus Sender tool (at http://www.declude.com/tools ) after installing or making any changes to any AV software on the mailserver.
