Best bet is to go with a dedicated solution. SAVCE will catch virus infected emails, but not all of them. I'm using Declude Virus on my server right now with McAfee AV 8.0. Works like a champ and wasn't that expensive considering the job it does. I still have SAVCE on the server but it does not scan the Imail Spool directory.
It might cost a few bucks now but it'll save you grief in the future, as SAVCE will not stop all the emails, and Imail's solution is VERY expensive in comparison to Declude with McAfee (or any other virus scanner with a command line option, which SAVCE does not have). I'm asking here if anyone has had a similar need to integrate their existing Anti-virus software with Imail and how they addressed it - this is not asking for Symantec Anti-Virus expertise (since this is not the forum for such a question).
