All Workstations also run Norton 2003 AntiVirus, but that is not flagging any of those incoming emails with NULL bodies as having a virus either.
That's normal, actually.
The NULL bodies will occur if you have an on-access virus scanner running on the server that interferes with the E-mail (IE it is set to scan the spool directory). If this happens, it will normally just delete the D*.SMD file (the file with the E-mail). So when IMail goes to deliver the E-mail (since the Q*.SMD file isn't deleted), IMail see a null body. However, since the body is null (the whole E-mail is gone), when it is delivered to the recipient, there will be no indication that there had been a virus present.
But since the eicar.com file was caught, it sounds like this isn't the case -- and that you are just lucky that you haven't been sent lots of viruses.
