I want to be able to "write" an e-mail message directly into a user's mailbox. Not
e-mail it to them. Just append it to messages already in there.

I think I understand how I can add it to the .mbx file, but:

1). Won't this mess up the users' .uid file?

2). Is there a way to update the .uid files, other than re-creating the index?

3). If I end up having to re-create the index, can I just delete the users' .uid
files and have IMail re-create the index? Is that a slow and painful process? Or
fairly quick?

4). Is there a command line command I can call to re-create the indexes?

Any other pointers or resources, tutorials, etc. would be appreciated.
