Can't get a static IP. I'm using DynDNS with cable. I run my business out of my house and nothing is available with a static address. Too far from the CO for DSL and I can't get a T1 without paying the construction cost of running new lines from about 5 miles away.

cablevision offers a business class service called Lightpath. They will be able to assign a block of ip addys to you. They will also do dns for you if you need it. Call 866-575-8000 or 1-866-4-BCOOL5 between 8:30am-6:30pm or you can visit http://www.lightpath.net/solutions/internet/business/bcinfo.html for more info. i know how much of a pain it can be to be out of the metro area and not get good pricing on connectivity. They should be able to help, you can also get them to swip the assigned ip block to you.

Silly question:
how the heck are you recieving mail if you have a dynamic ip addy? unless you are using dome dynamic dns service such as no-ip.... Wouldnt it be easier to just get a single static ip from your isp?
i know this has nothing to do with the solution just wondering why one would run a legimitate mail server without assigned ip addresses..
However, to do this I need the IMail server to authenticate.
I tried using my ISP as a gateway and this isn't working. AOL and others are still rejecting my mail.
