I accept that it wasnt the dynamic version, the real .J. I am upset that
F-Prot v3.14c with def dates 3.3.2004 does not detect the virus. I have used
F-Prot for a couple of years with declude and niether one has ever let me
down, but I am wondering about F-Prot right now....

It's not J:

That's the name for one that was originally (incorrectly) named .J, but
really appears to be .F (which AV programs can detect).
You need to try the eicardynamicencodedzip file from the Test Virus Sender
at http://www.declude.com/tools to see if dynamic versions are getting
caught.
