I certaily appreciate your desire to help and educate.  My mailserver did
not catch either the static or dynamic password protected eicars you
provided as the eicar test virus.

Then you are not protected against dynamic encoded .ZIP files (and maybe not static ones, either).


Yet we are catching/blocking password
protected variants of the bagle virus.

Please read the thread for details on why (you're catching static versions, which should get caught).


What password did you assign to the files?  I'd like to unencrypt them if
possible.

The password should just be "test".
