Thank you.  I did seek IMail's help on this one.  The IMail client allows
moving messages directly into any .mbx file on the server.

You don't? :)

The built-in IMail Client would be the appropriate tool for this task.
Its  option  'Forward  With Headers Intact' is akin to a 'redirect' or
server-side  forward,  and  it  can  send  on- or off-server. And yes,
messages can be selected and forwarded via query.
