I am futzing around with some redundancy issues this weekend and as a test I had set up IMail to send a copy of every email sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Now I can send email fine to [EMAIL PROTECTED] But to make sure it goes to the correct machine I am forwarding it as [EMAIL PROTECTED] DNS resolves fine for [EMAIL PROTECTED] But every email I send to [EMAIL PROTECTED] fails. On the main server it shows the smtp failure. On the backup domain it shows ERR: invalid user [EMAIL PROTECTED] Again, works fine as [EMAIL PROTECTED] I have gone so far as to even add mail1.mydomain.net in the Host Alias on the Main Domain name. I have also changed the relay settings to include the IP from the main machine. Still no luck. I feel this has to be something simple that I am overlooking. Any ideas?
