We are not bound by HIPA, Bill Landry is and if someone tells him to break
those rules, he cannot do that. Lawyers and higher ups than you or me decide
what paper trail they want - and lawyers have decided what this Company will
and will not do on email. 

As I said, get used to it as more and more emails are taken into Court.

Sound like your company should seek better legal counsel if they want Read
Receipts sent with each e-mail!!!  HIPAA does not require this - at all.  IF
they told you this they were sorely mistaken or lying.  Perhaps you should
seek and outside HIPAA contractor??
