Would DNS be an issue? If you were to drop to a command prompt and type: nslookup
Does your nameserver respond appropriately? Can you resolve the mail server name that you have plugged into your mail client pop/smtp servers correctly? Just a thought - --Bill -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Samuel J Stanaitis Sent: Thursday, June 03, 2004 1:53 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [IMail Forum] And out of nowhere, some people cannot access POP3 or SMTP. Imail Professional 8.11 (all patches, etc...). All of a sudden certain (brand new) machines cannot connect to the server. This is all on a LAN, dedicated IP range in the DHCP scope that hasn't changed. I try to telnet to SMTP on port 25, nothing. Outlook can't connect to SMTP or POP3. I've checked my sys* log files, nothing there, doesn't even show the connection attempt. Any ideas? The individual machines have no other connection problems, and everyone else on the LAN is working fine.
