Hi Chris,

As far as I know that's a manual process. I have a log directory with a directory under it for each year under it. Once a day I move the logs from the previous day in the spool directory to the log directory. Once a month I zip all those logs in the log directory into a monthly zip file and move them to the year directory. So I have only todays logs in the spool directory, up to a months logs in the log directory and up to 12 zipped monthly files in the years directory. I'm sure there's a way to automate that but doing it manually only takes a couple of minutes and it presents the opportunity to verify that everything's ok. Still ... if you run across a way to automate that let me know; I've got plenty of other things to do with that time.

Thanks for the reply, Scott.

This article pertains to moving the spool directory.

I have already moved the spool directory out of IMAIL, but I want to
move the log files out of the spool directory.

It appears the logs follow the spool but I want them on their own
partition.

Thanks,

I want to move the sys and spam logs out of the spool directory to a
separate drive to reduce fragmentation.

I have done tons of searches in the KB and the list archives, but
anytime
you search a string including the word spool or logs you get tons of
info,
unfortunately none that I am looking for.

I believe http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-19990908-DM01.htm is what you are looking for.
