Went ahead and downloaded the patch and installed it.
Restarted the iMail services and the CPU jumped straight to 100% and stayed there (even after the QueueManager had reported that is was "Running"). After a while it dropped back to a normal (for us) 10 - 20 % utilization. This is an older PIII-500 box with 392MB of RAM. But the processor does continue to spike up to 100% for short periods (10-12 seconds) about twice a minute or so. I don't remember 8.11 doing this after it;s initial startup.
We do not use IMAP or LDAP
