Depending on what the user has installed for applications in many cases is saves time to just backup the users data they wipe the machine.
To really save time after installing the machine and installing all patches make an image copy of the system so if the spyware/adware gets out of hand you just need to backup the data reload the image and then reload the data. This process can save hours of IT time and many more hours of user frustration.
