That should work, although the mx is that any listed mx of domain.tld is allowed to send out. (Normal procedure and you don't have to list the ips that way) In essence if you have your mx as mail.domain.tld (and it does both in and out for you) you only have to say v=spf1 mx -all and you'd be done. If you want to list ips, ip ranges etc, great and I list my ptr records as well since really anything in my public ip range I may want to send mail from (in a pinch mind you, or to test things).
Mine is: "v=spf1 mx ptr a:nat.oknetx.com. a:exchange.onx.cc. ip4:68.91.137.160/27 include:oknetx.com. -all" On this general note, since ptr is looking like it will be ratified at some point... It would be nice for imail and others to develop spf support natively. I know there are 'projects out there' and I'm glad declude handles it, that is a start. The thing with SPF is everyone needs to get on-board this train for it to really work. ************* Dave Heritage Dave at onx dot cc ************* To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
