What I would like to see and I am sure there are other than me here who says the same thing.
Declude and Imgate in togethernes on the frontend server would be heaven.
Could you suggest ways that this could be done? We are always looking to enhance the functionality of the Declude products, and even added a new feature for IMGate users a year or so ago when it was requested.
So my conclusion here is that instead of fighting user your excellent skills to do som extremely good.
It's not fighting. If I see someone misleading people on this forum, I'm going to correct them, whether they are posting their first post or if they have been participating here for years, whether they have nothing to offer IMail users or whether they have an excellent web page with information on a gateway for IMail users. I feel that I have an obligation to forum members to correct serious misinformation. If a forum member wants to engage in wholesale blocking of "subscriber networks" (something I think is bad), that is fine by me -- but *only* if they are doing so with complete knowledge of the dangers involved.
I don't want people losing mail because I was afraid to speak up for fear of people telling me to shut up, or people accusing me of fighting, or even of being called a "straw man" (I'm not even sure what that means).
Again, while I have my opinions, I don't force them on others. I don't believe I have ever turned down a request to help people using IMGate, and I have never suggested anyone not use IMGate. I have, however, found that a lot of people using IMGate are really upset that they have so many false positives, and refuse to stop letting people know of the problem when it is called for until either [1] the false positive problem is resolved, or [2] most people understand that they will have a lot of false positives.
And, I do urge you (and everyone!) to look back at the thread, look at the posts and responses to get an idea of where the important information is, where the important misinformation is, and see who is resorting to attacks and who is not. I get very tired of being attacked, responding politely, only to have people complain.
