I have a situation where I am changing my primary domain on imail server
from olddomain.com to newdomain.com The old domain needs to become a
virtual domian. The users are going be identical. I would like to make the
newdomain be primary static ip addresss. The newdomain is set up as a
virtual domain with users ( that will continue to use the new domain)
currently.
When the old domain
The steps I think I should follow are
1.) Stop Services
2.) Copy users directory from c:\imail\users to c:\imail\olddomain\users
3.) Copy Registry for the old domain's users to new domain ( still a
virtual domian)
3.) Edit Registry by changing domain name for the virtual Ip address and
static ip address.
Correct ?
Also, I would like to set a way to domain forward all mail fro old domain
to new domain without using individual user forwarding.ima?
I could set up a rule checking for olddomain and forward to newdomian -
Would I alias the [EMAIL PROTECTED] to the new domain?
I did not find much on this. I suspect my search parameters limited this.
