I have two fairly large distribution lists. One has about 1600 email
addresses and the other has about 2300 addresses. However no matter how hard we
to ask them not to, when a user sends an email to the list they send it to both
lists at one time. So we are looking at roughly 3900 addresses at one time that
hit the queue. Here in lies out problem. The Queue manager service will take
all of the processor resources to try and deliver these messages and nothing
for the other services. Which basically means the email server is down until all
of these messages are delivered to the proper mailboxes. I have adjusted the
Mail threads and number of recipients per message with the help of Ipswitch.
Still we come to the same result. Has anyone been in this situation before and
if so I were you able to solve this problem. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Drew Smith Sonic IT ------------------------------------------------------------------ This electronic message and any
