Actually, I would recommend NOT using the tradtional store-and-forward
setup from the KB.

Instead,  I would schedule our exchange2aliases script (see my sig) to
automatically  synchronize  the  Exhange  2003  userbase with an IMail
virtual  host.  If you don't do this, your IMail server will fall prey
to  dictionary  attacks,  as  it  will  not  have  access  to the full
userbase.  With  exchange2aliases  running,  the  IMail  box will only
accept mail for extant addresses in the Exchange organization.

All  anti-spam  and anti-virus options from Ipswitch and third parties
will function in this scenario.
