No, IMail will not run on Linux. However, all is available for Linux, including RedHat, but the trade-off in cost savings may be offset by the time involved in setting up all of the disparate applications and getting them to work together. Here is a completely free Linux solution, however, note that all of the different components are from difference resources: OS: Linux (lots of options, including RedHat/Fedora) SMTP Server: Postfix IMAP/POP3/KPOP Server: Cyrus List Server: MailMan Web Mail Server: SquirrelMail Virus Scanning/Spam Filtering interface: Amavisd-New Virus Scanner: ClamAV Spam Filter: SpamAssassin Spam Filtering plug-ins: Razor/Pyzor/DCC/Sniffer Greylist server: PostGrey SMTP Authentication: SASL Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS): OpenSSL Secure Shell (SSH/SFTP/SCP): OpenSSH Proxy Server: Squid Firewall Server: IPChains/IPTables Sever web administration: Webmin And lot's of other free stuff that you can learn to use on Linux, including many other alternatives to those I have listed above. For a more integrated Linux mail server solution, you can take a look at the Courier Mail Server (http://www.courier-mta.org/). However, once again, before you head down this path, you will need to factor in the learning curve and ongoing maintenance and administration, and understand that there is no formal support except from distribution lists, FAQs, and often skimpy documentation. With that said, I love Linux and it can be a very worthwhile venture. Good luck!
