There's little reason to believe that you're going to get a sufficiently low-end leased box that's available _only_ with Linux to save at all on hardware. Most generic leased hardware is not designed correctly for mail server use (it's usually heavy on the CPU and light on the function-dedicated DASD), anyway. So the major difference for you is indeed going to be that pesky leased-license cost of $600/year. Costing your learning curve for a suite of best-of-breed Linux apps to approximate the IMail suite is beyond anyone here. My wild guess is that during the first year you'll run a heavy time-and-sanity deficit vs. the IMail world. Second year, you may be running even. After that, I'd say this is too close to call. --Sandy ------------------------------------ Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist Broadleaf Systems, a division of Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] SpamAssassin plugs into Declude! http://www.mailmage.com/products/software/freeutils/SPAMC32/download/release/ Defuse Dictionary Attacks: Turn Exchange Addresses into IMail Aliases! http://www.mailmage.com/products/software/freeutils/exchange2aliases/download/release/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
