I don't expect any anti-spam software like Declude to do the sort of

I'm not bashing IMail, nor am I bashing Declude. Each solution has its
place. It's just that I can see how putting this functionality into IMail
would improve the product radically.

I strongly agree! If Ipswitch would look a little bit forward (or at least what's happening at
them moment) then there can't be other conclusion then implement such a
feature as fast as possible! This is simply something that Imail admins
would need and can't be so difficult to implement. Or am I missing
something?

And if IPSwitch would prefer to concentrate development on advertising
functionality then keep in mind that other MTA's does have such
functionality and several Imail-admin's waiting for such a feature are still
waiting because there is something like Declude.

If we buy Imail and Service Agreements can we expect some reaction for
changing situations in the wilde internet or not?

As I said, at the moment we have a solution that works. We've invested quite a bit of money and time into IMail, so are in no rush to make our lives difficult by running to other server software. However, we are already using Postfix as the front-end, and those it's nothing more than a relay at this point, it wouldn't be so hard to push it the extra notch and make it our mail server. I'm afraid I'm a terrible guy to be making any kinds of requests of Ipswitch at this point, as I can see no advantage to upgrading at all. From all I've seen, Declude Junkmail and AV does the job just as good, if not better, than what Ipswitch is shipping now. Since we're an ISP, we're not at all interested in calendaring and the like.

Fortunately we have found a way to ward off these distributed dictionary attacks for a very modest investment (an old Pentium and several hours of my time).
