Then you have all you need without waiting on Ipswitch to do something else. Keep Imail and friends, just move more policy enforcement to the MX.

That's a waste. At a minimum, have postfix reject unknown recipients, and then activate anvil (gives you dynamic connection-rate limiting via 421 rejects at TCP connect), and install postgrey, which will probably reduce what you call dictionary attacks to insignificance.
I am using anvil now, and it's doing a magnificent job. I will look into postgrey.
