I have my IMail 8.05 SMTP Security is set to No Mail Relay. I have a database (Omnis Studio) that wants to send automated emails. These emails are getting delivered to my server's domain, but are not delivered to anyone outside.
By momentarily setting my server to Relay for anyone (and/or relay mail for my IP address), the automated emails get delivered to outside domains.
My database allows for authentication, though I wonder if the username/password sent to the IMail server is has the correct text and is in the correct format.
What EXACTLY is IMail expecting from email clients to authenticate messages sent to outside domains? Baring that, any other suggestions?
