Yes, but it takes two virtual servers.

The first virtual server has no recipients-per-connection limit, which
apparently  is necessary for GM to submit without errors. That virtual
server  spools  everything  to  a  smarthost, actually another virtual
server  on  the  same  box  that  has  a 50-recipient limit. The first
virtual  server  should  then  automatically  batch  everything to the
second virtual server, and the second virtual server will therefore be
connecting  out  to  the  provider's gateway with no more than 50 at a
time.

I'd  still  want  to  be sure that 50-at-a-time is the only rate limit
they're imposing so you don't end up chasing other things down.
