David's making good sense here. We used to use some software to generate visitor analytics for our web site clients. The software was affordable, straightforward, and worked well. However, the company discontinued the product (it was their flagship product) so that they could focus on high-end custom solutions for really big corporations. I talked to one of thier VPs at the time, and he said that it was more lucrative to sell a few solutions at $500,000 that to sell a lot of packages at $2000. It was a great loss, but the management had no concept of loyalty to customers. The same is true with Ipswitch.
By the way, we continued to use that package (we still have it running on one machine), even though there had bee no support for years. We just install new, different products when we need a new system. The same will be true with IMail. We'll just switch to something else, possibly Linux, but continue to run our old IMail server until it dies away. The people I feel really sorry for are Declude. They have great products and great support, and now they've been cut-off at the knees.
