I'm in a similar boat. We had been on the Sendmail for NT product for a
number of years. When we first purchased Sendmail it was a MetaInfo
product. MetaInfo decided to focus on TCPIP tools and sold Sendmail for NT
to Sendmail (the ubiquitous *NIX mail server producers...) Within a year or
so, Sendmail scaled this product way beyond our needs and budget.

I hung tough for a few years using a dead product on a dead NOS and finally
decided on a nice, stable, widely used product. Imail. Inside of one
year... Here we go again.

I can understand the market pressure companies like Sendmail and Ipswitch
are under. That doesn't mean, as an end user, I need to like their response
to that pressure. I held no animosity towards Sendmail as they were
bringing their Window$ product into line with their *nix offering.
Supporting both products would have been a nightmare for them.

Ipswitch, on the other hand, has decided to totally vacate this market for
what appears to be arbitrary reasons. It appears that they'd much rather
hunt for bigger game and no longer have any use for the businesses who've
helped fill their coffers in the past. I'll never use another Ipswitch
product again, for any reason, under any circumstances... Primarily because
of the way the approached this issue... the spin they put on this issue...
and their total disregard for those who supported this product...
