[IMail Forum] PROBLEM SOLVED KILLERWEBMAIL SPANISH (UNDEFINED)

Hi there:   Well, We have just bought down here the KillerWebMail Templates, basically because we needed an Spanish transaltion and good looking webmail, but unfortunatly, when we changed to KWM, the support phones started ringing all night long!   The problem was, that for MAC, LINUX (Mozilla, etc), IE 5.x, and some versions of IE 6.0  users, when the page was changed to SPANISH, all the text in the page appeared UNDEFINED, so the only way that they where able to see the webmail, was changing to ENGLISH. (Yeah, i looked at the support pages, and it wasnt an ENCODING problem!, or a bad misspelled language)   Looking at the demo site at http://imail.ipswitch.com , the thing was the same! (Incredible that even the demo site has those problems!).   Working around the issue, we found the following "bug" (I dont know what other name to give it ).   If you change the following variables from the spanish language pack file, (Spanish.js), everything works alright!   (The original variables are like this):   X.Country="Pa�s" X.EnblSplChk="Habilitar comprobaci�n de ortograf�a" X.FwdNote="Su mensaje de correo se reenviar� a la direcci�n de correo electr�nico que introduzca aqu�." X.MailSendOpts="Opciones de env�o" X.MyFwdAddr="Mi direcci�n de reenv�o" X.SelDicts="Seleccione un diccionario y haga clic en Revisar ortograf�a" X.VacNote="El mensaje de vacaciones se enviar� a cada usuario que le env�e un mensaje y est� limitado a 1.000 caracteres. Esta caracter�stica se deshabilita si el cuadro de texto est� vac�o." X.Yes="S�" X.After="Despu�s" X.Day="D�a" X.EndTimeForDay="Hora de finalizaci�n del d�a" X.ForDay="Para d�a" X.GridIntvForDayView="Intervalo de la parrilla para la vista del d�a" X.GrdIntvl4DayView="Intervalo de la parrilla para la vista del d�a" X.StartEnd="Hora de inicio/finalizaci�n para el d�a" X.StartTimeForDay="Hora de inicio para el d�a" X.wed="Mi�" X.RiverStones="Piedras del r�o" X.DeleteMsgAfter="Borre el mensaje despu�s"       The ONLY thing that ALL of this variables had in common were that they ALL finish with a word with punctuation (In spanish is called "tilde"), so you have to change for example:   X.EndTimeForDay="Hora de finalizaci�n del d�a"   TO:   X.EndTimeForDay="Hora de finalizaci�n del dia"   Look at the � , is changed to an i whithout punctuations.
