IPSwitch is following down the path of Gordano. I have had to jump ship several times now. When post.office screwed their customers I moved to NTMail, when NTMail screwed their customers I moved to IMail...now IPSwitch is screwing their customers...time to evaluate the options out there again. A couple mentioned so far are mailenable and smartertools. It would be nice if people would comment in the thread "new subject - alternates" on all the pros/cons and options available.

The whole thing is really selling me on why we need to move to open source solutions. When you chain yourself to a specific company's software, you're left vulnerable to pricing changes, service changes and even the potential that software may be abandoned.

We've stuck to be a largely Windows-based outfit, with the exceptions of some third party wireless routers, our Cisco gateway router (which is getting the boot soon to be replaced by a Linux router) and our Postfix box to save our Imail system from total crash.

I'm just too afraid that if we moved to another commercial mail product that in a few years we might be in the same boat yet again.
