I either just plain do not understand the logic, or they are trying to get every last penny they can before they go under. Perhaps they figured that their good reputation would override their client's logic and they would be able to pull this off.
However the more I think about this, the more I wonder if they have a future. Not knowing what really goes on within their doors can only lead to speculation. Unless they have had an overwhelming group of people hop into the collaboration offerings they had before ICS only, my speculation is they may be going under and this is one last grab at the market. I really do find that hard to believe unless they just spent way too much money on something that flopped! I just don't get it, but I sure wish they would explain themselves. I know I am running out of patience waiting for something official to be announced as promised.
