I just got a notice from MXGuard and it wasn't sent to this list so I agree that people need to pitch their goods on their own.

This list is not your personal marketing venue. Please stop spamming

us with your unsolicited product announcements.

I agree. I think if it continues we should all email ipswitch to have him
removed from the list.

Too bad makelovenot spam is shut down we could submit
<http://www.marketware.com>www.marketware.com to them!!??

Let me just put my two cents worth in here.

I've gone through my IMail archives, and found that this person has posted
about this product an average of about once every 3 months. That doesn't
seem unreasonable to me. Further, it doesn't seem unreasonably to the
people on this list!

What happened? IMail is going downhill. That's the problem. Of his
previous posts since 2001, there was only one complaint (a simple "Is this
a sales pitch?" response), until last month's post. I do feel that the
complaints about that one were justified, it came out 2 weeks after a
previous announcement, and was only used to generate sales (with "SAVE
$20"
in the subject). However, I'm guessing both the reason for that post and
the unusual volume of complaints were due to IMail (the market
disappearing, and people being upset at the new direction of IMail).

This time, however, the post was nearly identical to many previous posts,
that nobody had complained about.

So yes, complaining about the post last month was OK. But I just can't
see
why people are so upset about this one, when they weren't in the past.

So I guess it would be ok for each of us to spam the forum with what we have
going on at least every three months as you see it Scott? Perhaps getting
enough to agree could open doors for a boost to Declude for you? Think I
know you and your ethics better than that :)
