Bob,

No I haven't, we are using a 'stock' RHEL4 server with php and it's so modules. But this is not the cause of the problem.

I can reproduce this also with a server only running imap2004 or imap2007 and one outlook client with 2 accounts, one pop3 one imap.

I send an e-mail to my test account and read it with imap, so it's status is 'read' and that works. If I check my mail on the same account with pop3, it is unread again. This is with imap2007, with imap2004 the message has a flag status 'read' when it is read and is flagged new when it remained untouched.

Andres,

Have you re-linked your webmail app (I presume php based) with the 2007 libc-client library? If not, then I would expect the type of weird issues that you your seeing.

FYI, Mark - this is one of the reasons that we create a shared libc-client so that we don't find ourselves having to re-build all of the apps that need to link with the library. It would sure be nice if you incorporated a proper shared object solution in the imap build with the necessary versioning to keep things straight. I also wish that the library name was more appropriate. libc-client is awfully generic/non-descript. In theory it should be named libuwimap.

Just my 2 cents.

Hello,

We noticed some strang behaviour when using imap 2007.

When we used imap 2004 a client could read his e-mail externally with a
webmail application (it's using an imap connection), when he came to his
desk to download his e-mail with pop3, the e-mails that he already had seen
in the webmail application were still marked as 'seen'.

Now with imap 2007 the e-mails are always marked as New in his inbox after
downloading with pop3. I tested with outlook and eudora, the results are
the same, also test the latest development release.

Is this behaviour ment to be permanent or can it be fixed ?
