It is most certainly a bug in the IMAP client if it unilaterally subscribes to all files in the user's home directory without any instruction to do so from the user. That is what the first poster was complaining about. Your suggestion, to add a bug in the IMAP server to assume that all users have a subdirectory with a particular name (and break if the user does not), will work around the problem. But it must be seen for what it is: a workaround to a client bug. -- Mark -- http://staff.washington.edu/mrc Science does not emerge from voting, party politics, or public debate.
