bottom line it's stale data there is no interest in using it. AND it is
making editing other useful data harder.
If in future there is a good reason for having it, well than it can be
imported again in exactly the way it will be useful.

any import should be treated like this. if it's not edited and the data
isn't used then it should be removed after some time. some hardliner argue
it shouldn't be imported at all if it's not edited or used as guidance for
edits. just for using data in rendering it can be merged in a render db.
