I have been working with 1.1.1B2 today and it seems less stable than B1. I'm not sure that it is not my system which, while much better than a Quadra, is somewhat minimal (PowerBook 3400 with 80 MB real RAM and OS 8.6).
Some of the many flaky things I've seen today include: My previous post (with recipe) about odd handling of the "it" by the "Answer" dialog. Irregular occult addition of many trailing returns into scripts upon error being reported (I don't have a recipe, but I sent a recipe in for version 1 beta and it was fixed). Flaky selections in list fields. Make a new list field with four lines of text in it. Set the script for mouseUp to be "select line 0 of me". When I click on line 1 it stays selected. When I click on line 2 it is selected while the mouse is down and then is unselected upon mouseUp but line 1 becomes selected. Click on line 3 or 4 and the line stays selected upon mouseUp and line 1 is selected in addition. If line 4 is selected and I click on line 3 then I end up with 3 and 4 and 1 selected. This occurs whether the "Hilight multiple lines" setting for the field is on or off. When I click off the field lines 3 or 4 will unselect but line 1 won't. I have to admit that upon checking, I've now found that these things also happen in 1.1.1B1, but I didn't see them before today. I'm hoping that they are a problem with my minimal system which I am replacing very soon... -- Michael J.
