Pat,
Not sure if this will help, but I've had good luck with IVEware, free
beta version at: http://www.isr.umich.edu/src/smp/ive/.
Similar to SPlus, it provides a very flexible method for MI, and there
has been some work done on imputing data from complex samples (i.e.,
including clusters and strata as dummy variables) - see refs below. If
you're a SAS user, it may be worth a try.

Raghunathan TE, Lepkowski , Van Hoewyk J, Solenberger PW. A multivariate
technique for multiply imputing missing values using a sequence of
regression models. Survey Methodology 2001;27:85-95.
Reiter JP, Raghunathan TE. Multiple imputation for missing data in
surveys with complex sample designs. Technical Report, Institute for
Social Research, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. 2002.

I confess -- I have no idea what I'm doing.

I've got a clustered data situation, so I downloaded PAN from Joe's
website. I also installed Splus 6.2 for Windows, which is what Duke
has.
I unzipped the PAN files into .../splus62/library/pan/, which is where
all
of the other libraries are.

I try to load the library from the Splus GUI, and it's not in the list
of
libraries available. I try to load it from the commandline, and get "No

section 'pan' in the library directory."

I've never used PAN or Splus, so I have no idea where my problem is.

All help greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Turns out Jerry Reiter is here at Duke, so I'll try and get some
input there.
