Right. It *usually* crashes, which on W2K is no problem - it just restarts.
But sometimes it just loses the ability to start new mail connections, but
still is "running". I don't know of a way to detect this short of trying to
send mail to it (it is obvious in the Tiny Firewall monitor if you know what
you're looking for, but I don't know of anyway to take advantage of that).
So, I gave up and wrote an AT batch file to restart it every morning at
5am - at least that way it will never stay off-line for more than a day.
