Hi.
There is no need to delete any plist files.

The solution is quite simple. Go to system preferences > Security. Select
the check box next to "Require password to unlock each secure system
preference".

And you dont need to go to system prefences to connect ur photon. The
installer should auto launch and once installed, the dialer will open every
time you connect ur photon and you only have to click on the connect button.
