I don't have any idea about your iphone app query, hence couldn't answer.
Regarding your query for today, u can partition the hard drive through
disk utility and use one as a time machine and the other can be used for both
windows and mac in one external hard drive. I suggest u go for Lacie as an
external hard drive as its more stable than other drives.

my mac backup drive is crashing and giving some noises so i am planning to buy
a new portable hard drive
so i wanted to buy a 1 tb external hard drive which i plan to partition into
two and one i plan to use as a time machine backup and one as a manual backup
for my mac and maybe transferring some data here and ther to windows
wanted to ask you if it is [possible to buy a say western digital passport and
as windows formatted hard disc are cheaper and easily available how feasible it
is and has anyone done this
i hope to get some answers and my earlier question regarding iphone app for
drawing went unanswered
