I would recommend VMWare over Parallels. One Parallels license is for one machine only, VMWare license is for as many Macs as you own.
On performance, Parallels comes out ahead of VMWare for high-end games. It's evenly matched everywhere else. If you want to protect your Mac from windows viruses, make sure to completely cut off Mac file system access from inside Windows virtual machine (don't set up shared folders for example.) You can drag and drop files as you need between the two OS. See this free ebook "Take Control of VMWare Fusion 3" to better understand how these virtualization apps work http://www.takecontrolbooks.com/vmware-fusion-3 Regards, Jose www.onekerato.com On Jan 22, 2013, at 1:29 AM, Rishi Gangoly <[email protected]> wrote: >> Do I need to pay for parallels and licensed windows separately or are >> they available bundled or what? > > Pay Separately. > >> Which is better out of all these software? > > I like VM Ware. > >> What are the risk of viruses using these software? > > If you get a virus on Windows, depending on the type of virus the data on the > Windows portion will get infected and do what ever damage it will do.
