The timescale for typical editors is 2-4 years. The timescale for the RFC Editor RFP is 2 years. The point is that the editor organization impacts the selection of the editorial board only during that period, and the periods are similar. It certainly is ambitious to turnover the RFC Editor every 2 - or even 3 - years. Journals tend to do turnover more like 4 years, and they have much less mechanism to handover. Joe
