Indiana thing .. like lots of people probably ... but something just struck me.
You have never actually run Solaris.
You have no idea how to patch it or even where to begin with the right
questions and yet someone somewhere hired you to be the main guy that
drives the Solaris future?
I don't think that's really fair. I've been running Solaris for the
past few years and I don't know which *specific* updates require a
reboot myself.
I've been spoiled by using the Sun Update manager, so I just reboot
when it tells me I need to.
I think Ian's question is what types of updates require a reboot or
what the criteria was for deciding that as opposed to implying that he
has never ran / used Solaris.
