Also Netscape forgot to improve. Netscape v4 was around way too long.

If it suits their needs then really what is the problem.

There is currently only 2 working Desktops as OpenSolaris projects 
hosted on OpenSolaris.org. If you want to vote for something else, then 
please contribute, support etc. Yes, John has been calling for a vote 
for quite a while. I assume he will soon contribute to a desktop project 
of his choice so once his favored desktop reaches the level of Solaris 
integration of Gnome, then his call for a vote might carry some weight.

Also I think one thing that people forget is, if Indiana comes with 
applications like Firefox, OpenOffice etc, then half on Gnome will need 
to be included anyway.
