zfs has been out for quite some time, introduced (backported) to older 
builds of s10 by a kernel patch around update 2 (or maybe *in* U2 - I 
can't remember right now.).

zfs in s10 does not yet work for boot/root.  it can work for those 
purposes with opensolaris, however.  there is copious documentation 
available as to how to set that up.
