With which version of Linux kernel? Linux doesn't keep module
compatibility between versions.

Display Postscript will not be part of Indiana, and is being removed
from Solaris as part of the EOF of Xsun. It's time is long since
gone (and most fonts have moved to TrueType or OpenType anyway).

That's easy - Solaris has done that since Solaris 8.
