The #8 in your list is a serious usability bug. Maybe Indiana thinks your laptop is a server that needs a privilege to be able to reboot or shutdown. It's really annoying.
And speaking of the availability of drivers/firmwares, maybe Sun should consolidate with other hardware companies like Broadcom to contribute software into OpenSolaris as well like what they do with Windows and Mac. Since OpenSolaris isn't GPL, maybe they'd be willing to support OpenSolaris as a first-class citizen in their software portfolio like what they do with Windows/Mac. But despite of all these annoyances, and even though Solaris turns my magnificent beautiful laptop into a dummy and ugly piece of electronics box, I'm still not losing my hope that OpenSolaris will someday shine like a real star and take the crown from Windows and Mac in the world of desktop/laptop machines. I'm really attracted to (Open)Solaris, I don't know why. And with this focus on the client-side, I could love it more. On 01/11/2007, EngCheng <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi.
